Since Gainesville is a University town, there are lots of trendy and hip spots for young people.  Walking on the Sun by Smashmouth is a fitting song to capture the feel of the city.  There are young people jogging, roller blading, biking, and gathering in entertainment establishments all over town.  There is also a wealth of cultural activities and museums.  Architecture ranges from the traditional to modern, staid to odd.  This is also true of the art, the music and even clothing styles.
